Knaith Road also employs an Educational Leader. The role of the Educational Leader is primarily to:

  • collaborate with Educators and provide curriculum direction and guidance
  • support Educators to effectively implement the planning cycle to meet the individual and group needs of all children enrolled at the centre
  • lead the development and implementation of an effective educational program in the service
  • ensure curriculum is guided by the learning outcomes of Belonging, Being & Becoming: The Early Years Learning Framework for Australia (EYLF) and the Victorian Early Years Learning & Development Framework (VEYLDF)

Knaith Road employs a team of qualified and dedicated Early Childhood Educators. Each room employs an Educator with a minimum qualification of Diploma of Early Childhood Education & Care and an Educator with a minimum qualification of Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Education & Care.

Our Educators are committed to:

  • Providing a welcoming and inclusive environment where all families are encouraged to participate in and contribute to experiences that enhance children’s learning and development
  • Respecting each family’s understanding, priorities and perspectives relating to their child, which will inform shared decision making about the child’s learning and development
  • Open communication between Educators and families

Our Educators are supported to undertake ongoing professional development to enhance their skills and knowledge, whether this is with allocated planning time, in-house services or external training.

Knaith Rd has a designated Breaks Cover Educator, and we also utilise our own regular team of relief Educators when necessary. This ensures a high level of consistency in our education and care practices at all times.

All Educators and support staff have Working with Children Checks and qualifications in First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, Asthma Management and Child Protection.
