Long day care

Long day care is provided across 4 rooms including the Kindergarten room, for children agend between 6 weeks of age through to 5 years.

Room 1 –

Our Room one caters for up to 8 children aged between 6wks-24mths, cared for by two qualified Educators. Upon enrolment into our Nursery, parents are given routine forms to complete which help us gain knowledge and understanding about each baby’s individual routine. Our goal is to provide a warm, safe and trusting environment for the babies, making them feel at home. Educators follow the routines given by the parents and meet with parents regularly as routines change. Outside, the babies have their own natural play space keeping them safe and secure. The Nursery also has a separate sleep room with kitchenette.

Room 2 –

Our Room two caters for up to 8 children aged 2-3 years. The room consists of two qualified educators. The program ensures that each child’s individual needs are met while they gain confidence in their exploration of their environment. Programming includes a variety of music and movement, story time, creative and sensory activities and plenty of outdoor experiences.

Room 3 –

Our 3-4 year old Room caters for up to 15 children and we have two Qualified room Educators. They all have access to an amazing outdoor natural play space. This enormous outdoor play space invites young people to explore and investigate in a variety of spaces for socialisation, while the indoors provide ever changing worlds of interactive learning for a child’s eye view of the world.

Kindergarten

Our government funded 4-6 year old Kindergarten caters for up to 19 children and we employ one kindergarten teacher who hold a Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education and a kindergarten assistant who holds a Bachelor of Education . Our focus in this room is to build the children’s confidence and resilience in preparation for school. The children take on more leadership roles across the centre and are taken out into their broader community through excursions to start to make sense of the world around them and to learn how to navigate through it. They all have access to an amazing outdoor natural play space. This enormous outdoor playground invites young people to explore and investigate in a variety of spaces for socialisation, while the indoors provide ever changing worlds of interactive learning for a child’s eye view of the world. Our Kindergarten programs are the same as council run Kindergartens and private schools. The difference is we operate from 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, are open 50 weeks of the year and cater for all family and work situations.

Children can be enrolled in a kindergarten program if they have turned four years of age by 30th April in the year they will attend.

The Kindergarten Program operates from 9 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday during school terms. Children may attend the long day care program outside these hours.

Fees are as per the centre’s fee schedule for daily or weekly care. There is no additional cost for children attending the kindergarten program.
